iPhone Zombies

iPhone Zombies

Posted on Monday, March 15th, 2010 under Life | 1 comment

You may have missed the announcement a few weeks ago, but one of my favorite games, Plants vs. Zombies, from one of my favorite Mac game developers, Pop Cap, has just spouted up on the iPhone. Now you can continue to quell some beautifully illustrated zombie madness on the go!

I know Jodie didn't install this on her iPhone, for fear of losing her life to it ... but I had no such qualms. Parcelling out ...

Daily Sketch – Nintendo Love

Posted on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 under Life Sketches | No comments

Jodie and I had great time with a gang of FCC kids tonight ... exchanging presents, playing Nerts (Erin and Seth won, but Courtney and Christie were in a close second), enjoying pizza and homemade holiday treats ... and of course, rocking some sweet Mario Kart : Double Dash action.

Despite that it is like an almost 8 year old game, it is still one of my favorites for the Gamecube/Wii. The newest MK added some ...

Day #7 – Loser

Posted on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 under Sketches | No comments

So my family has only had a Nintendo Wii for like 11 days and already Margie is the king of Boxing, David has triple Pro status and even my visually-challenged father is killing it in Wii Bowling. I seriously just watched him bowl a straight Turkey! Gah!Despite my best efforts and months of prior ‘mote and Nunchuk experience, I still got schooled … especially by Margie. My quick one-two jab combos were no match for ...

Day #6 – Wheel

Posted on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 under Sketches | No comments

Finding out that the DFP course isn’t starting until February left me with some extra time to have fun last night, so I rolled up my sleeves and dug into some new Mario Kart cups (I am so loving how Nintendo has added so many of the DS, GameCube and N64 maps into this new version … love it!).Despite how much I have tried to stick with just using the fancy new Wii Wheel, with ...

Day #1 – Leap

Posted on Thursday, January 1st, 2009 under Sketches | No comments

Last night was filled with so many friends, fireworks, shish-kabobs and fun, but definitely leaping over fireworks is still my favorite New Year’s Eve tradition. Thanks for that one, Pressly! Thanks everyone that came out… bringing in 2009 over chips, dips, taquitoes and some sweet Mario Kart action is definitely where it is at! Oh and for those of you that were there for it, we also go to see the new Flight of the Conchords ...

Wii Update, so won't You?

Posted on Thursday, April 12th, 2007 under News | No comments

Sketches coming soon ... but in case you missed it last night, the Nintendo Wii got a nice little update to its trial version Opera Browser and it is a full-fledged internet monster now, complete with auto-zooming, a nifty little HUD feedback as you drag the view, and of course, auto-hiding of the navigation bar. Nintendo ... we like you a lot. :)

And don't let your dumb friends sway you ... you know you want ...

Mario and Me

Posted on Monday, April 2nd, 2007 under News | No comments

I am still "getting caught up" on my designs, art and blogs, so go ahead and let this post fall somewhere among the ups and downs of the past couple of weeks ...

For Jodie's birthday, I was finally able to get her the much sought-after Nintendo Wii. It's funny how it seems so difficult to find and hard-pressed to obtain until you finally have one. Though, one could say that that is the case with ...

Thou Art Dead

Posted on Wednesday, January 10th, 2007 under Design Life | 3 comments

So the other day, we were watching Monster House (quite the enjoyable flick, too) and it dawned on me that, not only would "Thou Art Dead" be a great game to play, but I am sure someone had already made it into one. Sure enough. And I even found a blog by one of the artist/animators. Fun!

Oh and in case I didn't already tell you about Anberlin's soon coming album, Cities, consider yourself told. Why ...
