Oscar - Um. I don't really think Zach Galifianakis is very funny, so this looks 'ight to pretty awful.

Oscar - I typically consider Facebook a waste of time ... and, this movie will make a great companion to that consideration, me thinks.

This looks like an interesting story that is sadly being pushed to an unnecessary "epic" scale. Elijah Wood and John Hurt are both great enough actors that it may still work out in the end.

Maybe its just me, but I'm not really interested in seeing old ladies firing automatic weapons. Single shot stuff, sure. But otherwise … it's just silly.

Batman - City of Scars
Wow! I didn't read the description carefully enough and at first thought this was just another fan-made trailer. There is definitely some camp here, but also some really interesting dark and unique interpretations on the classic DC characters. Definitely worth the watch.

Valhalla Rising
Geez. Have these guys never heard of the phrase "pause for effect"?

Looks like this possibly good idea has a full trailer now ... I'm still not sure about Dakota Fanning as a serious, non-screaming-kid actress, but I like the look of this.

Halo - Reach
I love all the other Halos, still need to play ODST and can't wait for this!! It almost makes me glad that they are canceling LIVE support for Halo 2 ... just so I can get in on the beta for this.

Robin Hood
This new trailer expands a bit more on the pre-Sherwood Forest Robin Hood story that will be in the movie. Looks like a great story of the "people" fighting the "power" for freedom, recognition and representation. It also very clearly leaves the door open for a sequel that would be much more like the Robin Hood story we all know. With Ridley Scott at the reins, this film should be great ... and I'll probably stick around for any that follow.

Stargate Universe - 1.5
I may not necessarily be a fan of how the premiere season of the show got split up and marketed as 1.0 and 1.5, but I enjoyed the early episodes and this trailer gets me really excited for what's to come in the next set. Oh and have I said how much I love the simplicity of the logotype? It is just bold enough to stand strongly against the vast darkness of space.

The Twilight Saga - Eclipse
I've skipped all the other ones ... and there is no way I play to watch this one. But I'll add the trailer up for you sweet-16-teen-girls out there ... that's right, Christie. I'm talking to you. :P

Shrek - Forever After
Gag me ... please oh please! If nothing else, gag my eyes and ears ... so I don't have to hear anymore about this goofy ogre! When will we be done with him?!?

Predators
I was pretty excited about a new Predator movie ... until I saw this trailer. While I agree with director Robert Rodriguez "that sometimes you need to give people they aren't expecting", I don't think this is it. Or maybe it is, and it just not what I want. Either way, this will most likely be a $1 movie Tuesday watch for me and nothing more.

Hmm ... from a plot standpoint, this movie looks kinda goofy ... were Roman soldiers ever captured and then have rescue attempts made for them like this? It's kinda like a Black Hawk Down or Saving Private Ryan re-make. but with a 500 BC skin. I think I'll have to see some more about it and hear some others way in before I decide to see it.

It is always such a long time in-between when a bunch of us can get together and watch trailers as a group, so this last time we made sure to knock out quite a few ... and since we happened to be up by the mall, we started the night with some warming Starbucks. Yum.

I usually skip over clips since I prefer to enter most movies as fresh as possible, but this really did help to get me past (most of) my fears and become excited for the 3rd movie in this franchise.

The 'Black Panther' Animated Series
It's only the intro for the upcoming series, but the fact that Marvel looks to have based the character designs on John Romita Jr.'s great work on the Wakandan warrior is very exciting. Too bad there still isn't a US release date yet.

Avengers Animated
I'm not really feeling this just from the trailer (the art seems a bit kiddy and less refined than some of its recent counterparts), but I will definitely be ready to catch a few episodes once the series gets a green light.

Thor : Tales of Asgard
This looks like tons of fun! The character designs are great (though I agree with Jodie that Thor's feet kinda look like a Clydesdale) and the overall style reminds me of Atlantis : The Lost Empire, which I loved. Now I have even more of a reason to go out and buy the Planet Hulk DVD.

Justice League : Crisis on Two Earths
I don't think this could be as good as Green Lantern : First Flight was, but it definitely looks like something worth seeing.

If you have kids, you probably shouldn't skip this one, though I do agree that it does introduce some dark themes along the same lines as Up and The Incredibles, that might be a bit much depending on the age of your children.

I never read the book as a kid, but I thoroughly enjoyed the great animated adaptation of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The voice-acting was wonderful (I love most things Bill Hader is in), the character design really fun and there was just so much visually entertaining things to look at. One of my favorite little details was this guy, with a macaroni elbow stuck on his head.

Finally! Courtney and Jodie are back in the loop with me for this big ol' set of movie trailers. I hope you enjoy ... I know I had a much better time playing them back from my MacBook Pro to the TV, thanks to the new QuickTime Player. It now allows for fullscreen playback on the secondary monitor while still allowing keyboard control and application switching on the main monitor.

Oh and I know that there isn't an Iron Man 2 trailer (yet), but I just can't get enough of these great promotional posters and the few photos that have been released so far. With all the fun that has been happening with Fing Fang Foom and War Machine on Iron Man - The Armored Adventures, I am super psyched for this new film. Okay ... so this isn't really a trailer and this game has been out for years ... but I still remember how much I anticipated its release and was totally stoked to play it. That was, of course, before I realized that I can't stand the idea of investing time in a "hero" class.

And this one is totally out of left-field, but I remember back in high school when we were unbelievable excited to finally get our hands on this trailer (technically this video link is to the intro cinematic, but it is close) and were passing it around from hard-drive to hard-drive like crazy.

I think I mentioned this in an older comment somewhere, but it was such a great feeling and connection of neuroses when I was able to find an old sci-fi movie I vaguely remember watching as a kid ... based solely on a few scattered impressions and terms searched for via Google. I was reminded of it today, as I was sorting through some old image clippings that needed to be processed and uploaded.

Another few days of keeping busy with teaching and freelance work, reading through comic books and watching old TV Serieses (?), and painting and drawing whenever I get the chance ... and another set of quick movie trailer reviews, just because I love watching them o' so much.
