Lilo and I spend the day today lounging around and keeping warm … me in my Homer Simpson slippers and her cuddling up really close to any one she could. We also took turns this morning laying on the sunshine-y warm parts of the living room floor, though she kept kicking me out of her space. It really is nice having it down to 45 degrees here in Florida … I don’t envy Jessica’s “feels like ...

It has taken me a long while and lots of hard work, but I have finally been able to reach “inbox zero” for all of my e-mail accounts! Woo hoo! It probably helps that I have been limiting the amount of online distractions I’m involved in (yes, I’m looking at you, Facebook-addicts), as well as filling up my iTunes Podcast folder so I have plenty of new content to play in the background.I’ve also been ...

I’ve been seeing all these really nifty iPhone stands lately and not wanting to spend any real money on them, I decided to go the home-brew route and make my own out of LEGOs. Four hours later I found myself in the living room surrounded by pieces and no recollection of what I had been doing prior to the happy fun LEGO time.Although it is not as sleek and branded as some of the alternatives, ...

I have to say, I really love making lists. Whether it is for organization, getting-things-done, shopping or just plain fun, I can usually be found with a list or two. There is just something calming and completing about them. And sadly, my love for lists can’t be contained by just one application or web services. No, no. I take advantage of practically all of them. There is Zenbe for my grocery lists, Amazon for my wishes, ...

Just like when we were growing up as kids and spent our Saturdays at the BCC Library looking for great movies, music and books, I still frequently find myself perusing the shelfs here in Kissimmee. There is nothing like wandering between those weathered pages and stickered CDs … nothing like enjoying the feeling of discovering something new and wonderful.I probably owe most of my love for reading to my parents and those loft lazy weekends ...

Thanks to Jen’s kindness, I again have an electric/acoustic I can use to play with the worship team’s band … though now I have to work on building those callouses again. Ouchie! After practice (which was totally packed out … kinda excited to see all of these people up front on Sunday), Jodie and I made a quick Wally World run and then got to watch new episodes of Psych and Big Bang Theory. Well, at ...

We spent Sunday doing what Sundays where meant for: church at Southside, worship (with a few fantastic Hillsong and Passion songs, including God of This City … wonderful), yummy lunch at Moe’s, shopping in the LOOP and tons of lounging around watching the Indiana Jones quad-logy (isn’t that what a four part trilogy is called?).The Last Crusade is definitely my favorite and I am still afraid of/completely loathe the Temple of Doom.

As much as I dislike clothes shopping that doesn’t happen in a thrift store, I needed a specific set of items for what I planned to wear to Stephanie and Colby’s wedding and Goodwill wasn’t cutting it. I had to make a couple of different stops around the loop and borrow a black suit jacket for Ben, but it all came together nicely.Black shirt, black pants, black socks, black vest, black belt, black tie and ...

This pretty much sums up my feelings about the new 20-inch Cinema Displays that Full Sail purchased for our department.Just like Lloyd Dobler, I would stand out in the rain for love … sure in this case it is for all 1,764,000 of those beautiful Apple-crafted pixels, but I think it still wholly applies.

Day 2008-1-1 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #26 – It’s a new year and here are some new lines. Enjoy the goodness and the fun. I seem to have run out of pages in my sketchbook, so time to set that one aside and find a new one to fill. And if you haven’t already looked at the last couple of posts, go ahead. Tonight was nice and lazy and I managed to ink and scan all ...

Day 2007-12-29 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #23 – All of these guys look a little goofy, but that was kinda the point. Each is similar in dress and mess, but with some fun variations. I hope you enjoy.

Day 2007-12-28 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #22 – Simple and large. Curvy and hairy. I like these three guys because of the emotion they convey in easy lines. I went ahead and left some of the sketch lines because that is always fun. :D

Day 2007-12-27 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #21 – I am really liking the lines and patterns in these pieces. The mesh-work in the bottom panel seems to have a great balance with the empty white characters within. What do you think?

Day 2007-12-26 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #20 – These turned out a bit smaller in size, but made for plenty more nibblets of fun and joy. No, I don’t know what is going on with the “Yes” bubble. I am confused by that too.

Day 2007-12-25 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #19 – Again, real life sketches are not a strong point for me … so here are some quick and best attempts. Hope you enjoy them. Any pointers are always welcome. :D

Day 2007-12-22 (uploaded by DRA Studio)Day #16 If the solace of life has keep you from the bread river, look deep past the snarl’s embrace. You will find that socks don’t bite and vested vestigials don’t sing. Rays of light are more for fright and less for fear.Okay, so I am back to the felt-tip brush pen and as you can see, the details are much better and the line work is cleaner. I was messing a ...
