Plants vs. Zombies

You may have missed the announcement a few weeks ago, but one of my favorite games, Plants vs. Zombies, from one of my favorite Mac game developers, Pop Cap, has just spouted up on the iPhone. Now you can continue to quell some beautifully illustrated zombie madness on the go!

I know Jodie didn't install this on her iPhone, for fear of losing her life to it ... but I had no such qualms. Parcelling out one or two bite-size pea-shooter and mushroom-filled levels every day works perfect for me. Plus, if you were hesitant about purchasing the $19.95 desktop version (though, it is well worth it), you really can't beat the $2.99 price point for almost an identical game.

Check it out, you're bound to love it, but, of course, it has the same disclaimer as my last recommendation ... it's addictive. The music, the sound effects, the funny flower dossiers ... pretty much all of it. Addictive like yummy brain flesh.

Office scribbles
Whoever said work isn't fun ... was probably right. But check out this fun page of diddly doodles that I did on today's meeting notes. One relative scribble for every point discussed ... all done with a ball-point Red pen and in a very limited area. This was definitely the bright side to a very boring, ...
Summertime Merriment
The time of summer is a upon us and if you find yourself with lots of free time like I have, you will need some distractions. Allow me to recommend the following: Find your local library and check out some books, movies, and DVDs. Seriously. It's free and fun! Buy a Mac. Okay, so this one isn't ...
Kunkel vs. Kungl?
Yesterday I had a revelation. An astounding and fantastic revelation! Yesterday I realized that two of my favorite visual creators (it doesn't seem enough to call them just 'artists') share a first name and a near identical sounding last name. Meet Mike Kunkel and Michael Kungl. Both spectacular in their medium of art; both much more creative ...
Code Nerd
One of my favorite Action Script-ers to follow, Felix Turner of AirTight Interactive, recently posted about all of the applications, plugins and resources he uses for Flash development. It is definitely a list worth checking out (as are many of the lists compiled by the great Smashing Magazine) and if nothing else, it gave me ...
Loves Hawk Nelson
Are you as excited about the new Hawk Nelson release as I am? The accompanying artwork and and site design is really great (minus like 10 point for having such slow download times ... though once you have seen it, it is kinda worth it). Definitely be sure to check out some of the wallpapers ...
