GOD is Working

On Sunday, Jodie and I had a great time celebrating our 7 year anniversary. It was technically a day early, but that was only because my current Full Sail teaching schedule has me coming home pretty late/early (depends on how you look at it).

We enjoyed our traditional meal at the Cheesecake Factory and a late showing of Disney/Pixar's amazing UP, sharing memories, laughs and a few tears.

We quoted movies, talked about friends and all that good stuff, but probably one of my favorite parts of the evening was driving home in the dark on the Turnpike, with the late stillness of the night reminding me of spending hours with our son at the hospital and this funny little truck reminding us about something important ... "GOD is working". Whether 16 or 2,556 days, they are all too few to spend with such amazing people.

Blah ... who wants to work on a Thanksgiving Monday? I so should have taken the entire week off. With none of my usual office visitors stopping by, I was definitely not as productive today (don't ask me how that works out). I already miss all of my friends that have gone home for the holidays, ...
Friday, the 24th
Oh man ... nothing feels better than sleeping in and not being a part of all those crazy kids and their silly Black Friday shopping. I mean, it's cool that Jodie, Ana, and David got up at 4am and hit it up for some great deals (What's up, Margie? Missing out two years in a ...
Astro Boy (2009)
3 out of 5 butt-deployed machine gunsThe other movie I got to enjoy on my double-feature cheap theater Sunday was Astro Boy and even though I wasn't crazy about the overall execution of the film, there were some really great pieces. I loved all of the character designs by Imagi and most of the voice ...
Saturday, the 11th
What do you do when you have a free Saturday with no prior plans? I spent most of mine sleeping since Friday night was pretty crazy and late-night goodness, but I definitely followed it up with a few of my favorite lazy Saturday activities. Here's a decent-sized list, if you are looking for some ideas ...
