Back in the Habit

Posted on Friday, July 27th, 2007 under Life Reviews | No comments

It feels good to get back into the swing of things and let loose on the posts. I toyed around with the idea of migrating to yet another blog system, but it is so hard to find a great client that supports Textile (which I am sick on now, thanks to BaseCamp) and with the recent re-domain-ing, SimpleLog seems to be pushing this out just fine.

So what has been filling my eyes and head recently, you might ask?

Well I definitely am going through LOST and Heroes withdrawal ... which is bound to last a while (thanks to all of those goofy breaks they are taking with both). But, a bunch of good summer shows are back, including Eureka (Colin Ferguson plays it really cool), Psych (the Season Premeire with American Duos was excellent!), and of course, Kyle XY. It was great to hear Jack's Mannequin in one of the recent episodes, and really, the story-line is developing in such a good way.

I don't know if any of those three would be able to survive as part of the Fall TV schedule, but they are perfect for laid-back summer goodness.

Last night I definitely tried to watch Cradle 2 the Grave (one of the few Jet Li's I hadn't seen yet), but I couldn't make it through. DMX was just too horrible of an actor and all of the character cliches just hurt too much to endure. Oh well ...

Also, be sure to check out WallCandyArt. It is a pretty UK site I found out about during the web project presentations the other day in lecture. I don't necessarily agree with their site statement about being "affordable" art (£240.00? Holy crap!), but it is definitely pretty. I like this one.

Laters!

Today was really a pretty exceptional day. The usual hanging out with friends and eating lunch togther, of course ... but I even worked in some sketching and inking, spray painting a new project and a little bass practice too. How well do you know your iTunes Library? I think I know mine pretty well, but I am still finding tracks that either don't have names or I have never even heard. Like last month, I totally discovered some great songs by Coldplay that I didn't even know were in there. Just today, I found/re-discovered ...

A while back I took like 80 different pictures of myself before heading to work ... that's right ... 80! I was trying to capture what everyone knows to be my many emotions and crazy silly faces. Here is a sketch of one of those. A bunch of those pictures were really nice ... especially since ...
