IGNITE Poster

Here is the finished piece for the IGNITE event poster. A little woodsy, a little gritty ... and plenty beautiful. I really enjoyed making this one, as I decided to take an old school approach to most of it, with type setting some of it by hand, with real paper and scanning in the results. I also blended in some original artwork in the back, just for fun and to add more substance. I also glossy-ied up the IGNITE logo for good measure.

This will probably end up as a separate quad-size flyer and another black/white photocopy version ... if so, I will add those versions to the Flickr. Oh yeah ... probably a myspace theme too.

This is my entry for last week's Illustration Friday theme of "wilderness". I did draw it on Friday, but have been so busy with other thing meaningless online things (and a bit o' work) I almost forgot to upload it ... eep! I drew this on the back of some glossy insert that I found in ...
Blast from the Past
Wondering what the Dra Studio used to look like? Here is what it was back in the middle of 2005. Not too shabby and just a little bit fun. Since I figure that not everyone has been hanging around for all the versions and at least someone has to be wondering where it all started, I ...

Not a time to look back
Ga' ah! The last real post was on the 13th and now it is the early morning of the 27th ... but I am not in the mood to look back or anything. There were some good things that happened and plenty of crappy ones, too ... but I am okay with letting it all ...
