Communication

** My entry for Illustration Friday's "Communication" topic this past week. Mmmhm. I plan to turn it into a fun Threadless design, so make sure you stop by again in a few days to see how it pans out. **

Last Friday was so amazing! Work went by quick and easy, with plenty of stuff getting done, and I had the whole night to spend some much needed fun "guy" time with Eric Herendeen, Billy Babbino and Jared (a future FCC hopeful). We pretty much did it all ... some Freaks and Geeks, a couple episodes of The Office, a yummy dinner down under, Virtua Fighter 4 (even if I ended up losing a lot to Courtney), Marvel vs Capcom 2 (freakin' yay!), Soul Caliber II, and yes ... double-glazed, HOT NOW Krispy Kreme donuts! That's right ... enough sugar to choke a gorilla!

Besides the Shirley Temples and the many victories with Yunsung, probably the best part of the night was singing loudly along to 80's classics like Queen, Styx and Quiet Riot with the guys, while driving down the big Vine.

Southside Luau
Sunday started out really wonderfully ... I got a good amount of sleep and felt pretty rested. Jodie and I headed out early for Southside set-up at Freedom High School (after enjoying some wonderful Krispy Kreme donuts that Jodie bought the night before ... yay!). Practice went really well, though during the actual service, it ...
Daily Sketch – Donuts

At some point or another, Tyler and I discussed the merit of this motto ... "More Donuts, Less ...
I Ate a Pepper
We had some serious fun last night at P.F. Chang's, celebrating Adam's Happy Birthday. I am trying to capture some of the good moments in a few sketches. The first? I decided the Kung Pao chicken wasn't hot enough on its own, so I took a bite of a red pepper ... except that the waitress ...
Daily Sketch – Sweater
This is just a quick daily sketch for Friday ... me in a new shirt and sweater to watch Jodie's performance in FCC's Night of Noel. I apologize for the rough lines ... I'm still getting back into the habit of drawing all the time. ;) I actually had to repeat the colors a few times ...
Should I write HTML with single or double quotes?
By point of personal preference, I am always encouraging students to be consistent with their usage of capitalization, indentations and quotation mark usage. Code should be as clean as possible and consistency throughout is an easy way to catch small errors or discrepancies. In some cases, however, you can actually find valid reasoning behind those personal ...
