** Since Missy complained, I feel it is necessary to apologize for the back-dated posts. I know I am behind on like 5 days, but I will try to clear all that up very soon. And for now, you can just think of it as a trip into the past! Those are always fun, right? In the upcoming future, I will make better effort to post on the actual day I am discussing ... okay? **

Family is coming into town tonight and I only had to be at work for 1/2 a day, so I felt I was able to accomplish quite a bit this morning in the office. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and this year, Jodie and I are hosting my family at our house ... pretty snazzy, I know. It will be a time of great fun, tons of yummy food and plenty of laughs, I'm sure. What is your idea of a perfect or great Thanksgiving? Who is there? What is served for the meal? What activities/traditions do you have? Speak up ... it is hard to hear over the sound of gobbling turkeys! ;)

As for the charcoal piece above ... take a moment and close your eyes. Relax your mouth and cheeks. If possible, lay down in a quiet room and think about something simple, something peaceful. Remind yourself how it feels to stand out in the rain and have droplets of water land on your skin. Breathe in and remember the wonderful scent of wind and rain clouds in the air. Can you actually feel the raindrops on your face? Doesn't it make you want to just stay and never leave?

Whoa ... what a sobering morning. Things have been insanely awesome the past 4 ... 5 ... however many days (it all runs together when you don't actually sleep ;)) and now I have another immense Rockstar hangover (I really didn't think that was even possible, but trust me ... I feel it). Because of something ...
Thursday, the 23rd
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy the day with plenty of family, food and fun. Be sure and eat good amounts of turkey and cranberry sauce ... and don't forget to save room for lots and lots of desserts (and leftovers)! And for those that just don't believe how much I love jumping over stuff or ...

* Everyone seems to be enjoying the Color Me! art pieces, so I am going to keep 'em coming. Here is a belated Halloween piece, but feel free to work up something totally ghouly with it (real Halloween fans won't care that it is already November).* Sunday was a great time with family and friends. ...
Ye Old Rabbit in Charcoal
A funny little guy I did in pencil and charcoal ... but I think i ruined him when I got too anxious to color and tried to put color pencils over the charcoal. The end result was mostly just smears intermixed with gray-hued pastels, so I scanned him in as b/w and will give him a ...
Escape
It started to rain today ... during the middle of the day. Right about when chapel was letting out. Everyone was running around in the dress clothes; on their way to lunch or coming in for afternoon classes ... and there was just something so fun and carefree about it. In passing, Clayton Wheeler said something ...
