5th Avenue Apple Store

So, apparently there is a new reason for me to want to visit New York again. The (unbelievably) 24-hour 365-day Apple Store on Fifth Avenue! That's right ... this baby is set to never close. So when you decide you are in the mood for a juicy iPod Nano or a beefy PowerMac G5 after the Thanksgiving Day Parade, you are in luck. Now you won't have to deal with those pesky "holidays"! Family time? Pssh! More like "Mac time". (No, really ... I am being facetious ... honest!)

My favorite part about this new store? It is entirely underground. The only street level part is the 30 foot glass cube entrance in front of the GM building. From there, the immense Apple sanctuary is just an elevator-ride down. Amazing.

IF – Surrender
My submission for this week's Illustration Friday theme of "surrender" ... a generalized native, alone on the plain, facing defeat and necessary surrender. I used everyone's new favorite digital sketch app, SketchBookExpress (thanks to the free download on Apple's Mac Store) for the initial version, then adjusted and refined the colors in Photoshop using Smart Adjustment ...

Hero @ Large
Just picked up the #1 book of Hero @ Large. It's amazing looking and so far, pretty funny. It goes down smooth like a mug of birch beer (Come on, Terry! It's not alcohol - just red root beer!). In like two seconds, it moved to the top of my favorite books and it's only ...
