Tuesday Gets a Mac

Get a MacSeen the new Apple ads yet? As always, they are well-crafted, innovative and an all-around good time. My favorite is "Restarting."

If you hadn't heard it directly from me or read it somewhere else, then I might as well tell you too. On April 7th, my good friend iPod Nano suffered from severe aquatic respiratory failure (I accidentally washed it with my laundry) and was unable to be revived. So I have been sans iPod for about 26 days and it has been kinda rough. Add that to the stress of us moving, the Wilsons moving, all of the FCC kids leaving for summer ... it is almost too much to handle! Plus, this past Sunday Jodie's iPod took a dive in the form of a hard-drive failure and it doesn't look like it is coming back.

So, with all of our current fund-age being used for rent and such, it looks like it is going to be a long 3 to 4 to 5 months before I can get a new iPod. Ugh! It hurts me inside ... and I feel so lonely.

An Oscar's officeVanessa was working on some portrait shots for her photography course and I was lucky enough to be a part of them. Here is a quick digital version of where she shot my portrait. Lots of office personality, huh?

When she was done, I got to play around with her SLR camera for a bit, which was most wonderful. I really should get more time with one so I can increase my knowledge of things like shutter speeds, aperture size, etc. It would definitely prepare me for when I eventually get my digital SLR.

Adam and Vanessa's friend Matt is visiting this week ... in his own words, he is apparently here as a "work mule" to help them move. Hehe. We all three went over to Cici's last night for some sweet (and incredibly cheap) pizza. Hmmm. Afterwards, we joined Glenn, Nathan, Paul and Ben for some adrenaline-jumping Medal of Honor action. Unfortunately, the only time our team won was really because we "cheated". Oh well.

Random Thoughts for the Day:
Jodie and Vanessa watched Stick It last night and since they recommended it, I will probably not dismiss it like the second Bring It on movie. "I got the door, Tor!"

This week, as part of the its-summer-time-and-all-the-students-are-gone celebration, Terry has granted us like 3 consecutive Jean Days. Awesome.

If you haven't already started using Firefox as an alternate browser, be sure to check it out. It's one really slick gem!

Looking for a way to spend hours and hours and hours looking at some really great art? Interested in wasting lots of time at work? Look no further than Drawn!

Friday, full of Fun
Work just dragged on and on, but chinese for lunch with friends was pretty fun. The lady at Great Wall just seems to get funnier everytime we go. We got Missy's sweater finished and it is probably the most wonderfully tacky thing ever ... and I discovered how incredibly difficult it is to not laugh ...

IF: Canned (uploaded by DRA Studio)Here is my entry into last week’s theme of “canned” on Illustration Friday. I know, I know. I took forever and almost 7 days to post this! Literally, I barely made the cut-off before the new week’s theme! But you can trust that I did do this last Friday (I wouldn’t ...
Rain
It rained for days after your most recent visit. My heart 'n the sky; both broken in agreement. Every glance through the windshield and every peek over the dash, is another moment, I wish I could outlast. Falling rain drops; each, a feeling of your skin. Breathing air 's no longer easy, since I'm breathing you right in. I miss the ...
