Legolas Again

Here is my second attempt at Legolas; this time, sketched digitally into Illustrator. It stinks that my trial period of Painter has ended ... I love that app! It just rocks the house on capturing all of the finer details and nice subtleties of my pen work.

This sketch is actually two separate layers ... the first I did in a preliminary pink blue-line format, then changed it to ash gray. The second is a nice charcoal gray that I laid over the top for refining some areas and defining shadows a bit better.

His overall expression is still not just right, but I think I am much closer than the previous image!
