Reese Witherspoon

Posted on Friday, October 28th, 2005 under Sketches | No comments

Here is a quick try at the June Carter role that Reese Witherspoon is playing in the upcoming "Walk the Line" film. I am pretty excited about this movie ... it looks like both Reese and Joaquin are going to do well in filling both of their roles.

Her hair didn't come out exactly as I had intended or first sketched, but I think I captured her button nose and downward chin pretty well. Overall, her look is a bit angrier than she should be or was in my posing piece.

One funny tidbit about the "Walk the Line" film ... apparently after initial audience responses, the promotional material and website was changed from the Shephard Fairey design to a new slick photographic design (which Vanessa and I agree ... is quite nice).

Also, if you are wondering what the deal is with all the funny paper in the recent sketches ... FCC's Financial Aid department handed out some sweet supplies and I am just taking advantage of a good thing.

Why is Batman smiling?
Either he is smiling or he is a bit acrimonious ... you tell me. Jodie seems to think he knows something he is not telling us. In dedication of my new sketchbook (a great deal at Pottery Barn today - $1.99!), and my new .1mm pen I purchased at Michael's, I drew this up. After initial ...
