Kal-el Kid

Did you catch the Smallville premiere? Did ya? 3 small words: Fortress of Solitude. Awesome.

Even without having been all the way caught up on the past seasons, the premiere was still great. It gives me hope and inspiration to catch up on what I have missed. Vanessa (that's 1) and the rest of us were definitely confused by some of the details, but it was all worth it to see a couple of Krypton-ions get sucked into the dimensional void!

I really like the way the colors turned out on this. Simple, but bold enough for the Man of Steel. Although I would normally have added some shading and such, I think the flat colors really compliment the thick smooth lines.

Adam said that he looked like a High School kid ... works for me ;). Vanessa (that's 2) didn't really seem to like it, but she did look in the general direction of it at least twice. Both her and Jodie thought one of the feet looked funny.

All in all, except for the face, this turned out true to my mind's eye.

Fast Friday Sketches
So right before I left work on Friday, I was still in the mood to lay down some lines, especially in a quick and careless fashion. Here are the results: I am again taking advantage of those great TG notepads I scored from the Financial Aid free-stuff surplus a while back (thanks again Sandi!). Most of ...
What's the Haps, My man?
Wondering what has been going down lately at the Studio? Let me fill you in. Jodie is working her heart out at her internship (Music Ed, natch'), and so hasn't made too many new desktops. There are a few and I will get those up in the upcoming days. Her internship keeps her pretty busy, so ...
Day #21 – LOST
It’s back! It’s back! It’s baaacckk! LOST is back with new episodes in Season 5 and I couldn’t be happier … even if Courtney, Jimison and I didn’t manage to get through re-watching all of the previous seasons before this premiere (I know, I know … sometimes we set ridiculously silly goals for ourselves).Plenty of ...
Friday, the 1st
** Fun little Holiday Color-Me! for all the kids. Enjoy and be sure to use plenty of funky colors! ** Plenty of great things happened today ... like D-Group, which went really well, even if only 4 people showed up ... or lunch with Jodie and Matt (mmhmm for yummy Chinese food!) ... but what I ...
