Becky,

Our son, Maximillian, was only with his mother and I for 14 days, but I am sure he is doing just fine now, waiting for us in Heaven.

I don’t have any specific resources I can point you to, but the Genetic Counselor we saw at Winnie Palmer Hospital was extremely helpful with explaining medical terms and Max’s diagnosis, as well as giving us information on available community resources.

If you haven’t already seen from the rest of posts here, having family and friends and God’s word(s) nearby is extremely important. Despite not being able to be with our son right now, Jodie and I are where we are today because of the people we love and the God we serve.

Thank you for praying for our family and know that we will be praying for yours.

Hi, my 19 year old daughter has just been told the baby she is carrying has walker – warburg. She is 28 weeks along and plans to have her baby daughter. I would like to know how you and your baby are doing. Also if you can direct us to any information that you have found helpful, we would greatly appreciate it. I will pray for you and your family. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness … we are both doing well. We have been keeping busy and trying to focus ahead, but knowing we have your support is so encouraging … especially as we continue moving forward and continue to seek God’s guidance.

Hey Max,

Wow, I don’t have much to say. I was so touched reading this story that I just began to weep. I thank God for you, a champion of life sent to bring transformation to a culture of death. I keep thinking of the verses “…death is swallowed up in victory!” and “O, death, where is your sting?”
