Celebrating Max

In: Big Updates

18 May 2009

Jodie and I would like to invite you and your families to join us in celebrating the life and joy of our beautiful son, Maximillian.

On Thursday, May 21st, between 7 PM and 9 PM, join us in commemorating baby Max in the Student Union Building at Florida Christian College in Kissimmee, FL. Southside Christian Church will be providing refreshments at this informal gathering of family and friends. In the words of Aunt Stephie … “Come and relax, as we celebrate Max!”

On Friday, May 22nd, at 12 Noon there will be a Memorial Service at Poinciana Christian Church in Kissimmee, FL. All are welcome to attend.

We ask that in lieu flowers that donations be made towards Max’s medical expenses. If you would prefer, you can donate online via PayPal.

Oscar and Jodie, You may never know the profound impact that your faith, your strength, and your love has had on so many people as they followed your blog these last two weeks. Max was such a blessing to your family even in the short time he was here, and he was blessed to have the best parents God could find! You are amazing people and God will continue to bless you for your testimony and your stedfast faith. I pray that God will lift you up and give you peace – the peace that passes all understanding.
Love, Debbie

Is 11:11

…… and a child will lead them.

The Holy spirit placed these words on my heart today as I sat there being part of your testimony of faith. The witness of faith you have shown is greater then I have ever seen. Max has touched our soul.

What a testimony of the presence of the Holy Spirit in your lives! Max is with Jesus and his brief stay has made you even stronger in the Lord. We cried with you when we heard the news of his death, and now we rejoice with you as you celebrate Max’s eternal life of joy in his Heavenly home. God be with you all as you share your emotions and memories together.

Hey Max,

Wow, I don’t have much to say. I was so touched reading this story that I just began to weep. I thank God for you, a champion of life sent to bring transformation to a culture of death. I keep thinking of the verses “…death is swallowed up in victory!” and “O, death, where is your sting?”

With Love,
Brian
